Good lesson, bad timing
File this one under 'Duh!'. This was going to be a gift sent in the mail. My mistake was that I used wood dpns on the slightly larger one but then used metal dpns on the one that turned out smaller. Same needle size. Good lesson. Bad timing.

Aw, man, that really sucks! I do stuff like that all the time. I never learn!
Just a sugestion if you have the fiber, make two more in the same fashion. One on Metal and one on wood and then you will have matching pairs in the same gage.
