I spun some of the sapphire blue merino on my wheel this morning. I definitely need to practice, practice, practice. This is the first time I have spun merino. It was a little slippery. I had to lower my expectations for this first merino yarn but I still take joy in it.

If you are interested in dyeing fiber, Growing Colour Tyfu Lliw has written an excellent article on mordanting.

Merino is just like trying to spin fluffy cotton wool isn't it?

It scared me stiff the only time I've tried it.

I have spun merino/tencel, which is great to spin because of the tencel.
